Dr. Andrew P. Daire的简介

★Dr. Andrew P. Daire is Dean for the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Education and Professor in the Counselor Education program.

Andrew P. Daire博士是弗吉尼亚联邦大学教育学院院长，也是辅导员教育项目的教授。

★Prior to this position, he was Associate Dean for Research and Professor in the Colleges of Education at the University of Houston (Houston, Texas) and the University of Central Florida (Orlando, Florida).

在此之前，他是休斯顿大学(休斯顿，德克萨斯)和佛罗里达奥兰多的中佛罗里达大学教育学院的副院长和教授。

★His resume includes more than 25 years inhigher education,  13 of which  were  spent at the University of Central Florida, where he co-founded the university’s Marriage and Family Research Institute,among other accomplishments.

★Daire received bachelor’s degree in biology and master’s in counseling from Stetson University and his Ph.D. from the Florida State University in Counseling Psychology.

Dr. Andrew P. Daire的成就

★Daire has conducted extensive research on family stability and mobility with economically marginalized and fragile couples and families and also maintains a secondary research area in career development and STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) recruitment and retention.

★He has received over $16 million in federal research dollars to support this work and has conducted research and interventions with over 11,000 community participants through the UCF Marriage & Family Research Institute, which he co-founded in 2003.

Dr. Yaoying Xu的简介

★Dr. Yaoying Xu is a Professor in the Department of Counseling and Special Education at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU).

许耀英博士是弗吉尼亚联邦大学心理咨询与特殊教育系的教授。许博士是一名德高望重的特殊教育和通识教育研究员、教师教育工作者和导师。

★She teaches both masters and doctoralcourses including assessment, multicultural and globalperspectives in education, and single subject researchmethods. 

她同时教授硕士和博士课程，包括评估、多元文化和全球化的教育视角，以及单一学科研究方法。

★Dr. Xu is a highly respected researcher, teacher educator, and mentor in special education and general education.

★Dr. Xu was the external evaluator for two federally funded Early Reading First projects.

★Dr. Xu has advised numerous doctoral students and Master’s students in special education, multicultural education, and instructional studies.

★Dr. Xu is Associate Editor for the Journal of Child and Family Studies and Regional Editor for Early Child Development and Care.

★ In 2015-2016, Dr. Xu was elected as the President of the Chinese American Educational Research and Development Association .

★Dr. Xu teaches Master’s courses including assessment, instructional programming, and multicultural perspectives i
n education as well as doctoral courses that focus on single subject research methods, multicultural education, global education, and research designs in general education and special education.

★Her research interests and expertise focus onsocial aspects  of children from  culturally  andlinguistically diverse backgrounds and how childrenssocial interaction affects their academic performance.

Dr. Yaoying Xu的成就

★As an educational researcher Dr. Xu has been the principal investigator of 16 nationally or state funded grant projects generating over $7,000,000.00 for research, personnel preparation, or program development.

★ Currently she directs two grant projects that are sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education.  Dr. Xu’s research interests and expertise focus on social aspects of students with culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and how social interaction affects students’ academic performance.
