Job Description

The Department of Chemistry at Oakland University, MI, has a NSF fundedanalytical and environmental position available immediately at the postdoctorallevel. The postdoc will be primarily responsible for developing and optimizingelectrochemical sensors for soil gas analysis. The successful candidate willwork closely with an interdisciplinary team of analytical chemist, geochemist,and sensor engineer. An understanding of electrochemistry and soil science isdesired. The candidate is expected to participate in scientific conferences,field trips, and publish research findings.

Minimum qualifications:

This position requires knowledge of analytical chemistry,electrochemistry, and soil chemistry. A Ph.D. degree is required in chemistry,environmental science, or related field. Excellent oral and writtencommunication skills and the ability to communicate ideas clearly andeffectively are also desired.
