招生信息丨德州农工大学招收两名博士

职位描述

Two (2) PhD research assistant positions are available in the Department of Construction Science, Texas A&M University, to work on projects supported by National Science Foundation (NSF) and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), in the area of Virtual Reality and emergency response. The expected start date is July 1, 2018 – September 15, 2018. The student’s advisor will be Dr. Eric Jing Du. The work will be interdisciplinary by nature, spanning over infrastructure management, cognitive science, Building Information Modeling, and Virtual Reality.

B.S. in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields, other general admission requirements.

Interests and experiences related to three or more of the following academic areas:

1) Virtual Reality (game engine development);

2) Computing (programming, automation, artificial intelligence); 

3) Cognitive Science (Spatial cognition);

4) Statistics and mathematical modeling (machine learning); 

5) Computer-Aided Design and computer graphics; 

6) Database and information management; 

7) Disaster reduction and risk communication.
