All applicants for admission into the Master of Architecture program must at least hold a four year pre-professional architectural degree.The preparation each student brings from their pre-professional experience is critical to continued development towards the completion of core courses in advanced architectural knowledge leading to the first professional degree. 

MSA

Admission to the Master of Science in Architecture program is offered to those students possessing professional degrees in architecture as well as to those possessing undergraduate degrees in related disciplines. Applicants must meet general university standards. Persons in fields other than Architecture may be admitted conditionally and may be required to take additional course work. Admission is also dependent upon the availability of appropriate faculty in emphasis areas identified by applicants.

Real estate development is a multidisciplinary industry. As such, we encourage students and professionals from all types of backgrounds to apply.

MUP

A bachelor’s degree is the minimum requirement for admission to the master programs.

Students with only a bachelor’s degree should apply to the master program first, or otherwise complete an appropriate master’s degree before applying. Applicants admitted prior to completion of their master level degree are admitted contingent upon completion of the degree prior to enrollment at Texas A&M University. Applicants failing to meet this contingency must reapply.

Provide a one to two page statement of purpose and outline of a proposed study program.

MUP

You have two options for submitting your essays.

1. Type your statement of purpose and mail to the department which you are applying. Please put your name, Social Security Number and the Application ID at the top of each page. 
2. You may also submit your statement of purpose online. Use a word processing software to write your essay. When you are ready to save your essay in ApplyTexas, come back to ApplyTexas Main Menu page. Access your application, go to the Essays tab, and cut and paste your written, saved essay into the text area. You will be able to save, retrieve and edit the essay as many times as you want in ApplyTexas prior to submitting your application.

The portfolio must include:

A comprehensive goals statement; 
A one or two-page resume;

Documentation of a minimum of six projects from the design studio sequence；

The portfolio must be concise in style, and bound as a single unit (8 1/2″ X 11″ preferred).

MLA

A hardcopy of portfolio is required only for applicants to the Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA) program. 

The portfolio should showcase recent, high-quality work, and will be judged on both content and overall design. Applicants without professional training may submit work that shows other evidence of creativity (studio art, construction/renovation, furniture design, etc.) and clearly demonstrates interest in the
proposed subject field. Any material that is not entirely the applicant’s own work must be clearly identified.

注意事项

1）TAMU的作品集和简历需要邮寄

Applicants must include postage (stamps or international coupons) sufficient for the return of their portfolios, or arrange to pick them up at the department. Portfolios remaining in the department more than six months after the review will be discarded. Please include in your submission a USB drive containing a .pdf copy of your portfolio.

Your resume and portfolio should be sent directly to the Department of Architecture.

Your application and three letters of recommendation should be sent to the Graduate Admissions of Texas A&M University. Please note that the application will not be processed by the Admissions Office until the application fee and all requested information (GRE, transcripts, etc.) has been received.
