美国伦斯勒理工大学DrXingWang学术报告

应生命学院赵永席教授邀请,美国伦斯勒理工大学Dr. Xing Wang将来我院开展学术交流。

Dr. Xing Wang is an assistant professor in the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology & the Center for Biotechnology and Interdisciplinary Studies (CBIS) at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). He received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from New York University (2009) working on the problems at the interface of designer DNA motifs and biology. After a postdoctoral training at Princeton University exploring the novel functions of noncoding RNAs in gene editing, he joined the faculty of Rensselaer in 2014.

Dr. Wang’s Nucleic Acids Programming Lab at RPI currently is focused on the new biotechnology development, design and synthesis of functional DNA/RNA aptamers, nanostructures and nanodevices, and on the exploration of their uses in energy harvesting, basic biology, diagnostics in low-resource environment, and therapeutics. Some of Dr. Wang’s work were published in top tier journals including CellPNASChem.Rev., JACSNano Lett., and ACS Nano.
