Academics 学术
 
I like the professor of my class. They are nice and often help me getting to their course and help me out when I asked at their office hour. The difficulty of the class are challenging, but not overwhelming if you manage the time well. I can squeeze couple of hours for work-study each day.
 
我很喜欢我班上的教授。他们都很好，在课上课下都经常帮助我解决问题。课堂上的内容是有挑战性的，但如果你很好地管理时间，那么这个难度就不会太大。 我每天都可以挤几个小时打打零工。
 
In sciences, BIG CLASSES, but teachers great, just form a study group. Overall, teachers great, just got to be a proactive student to get more out of class.
科学学科的很多课程都是大课，但是老师们还是不错的，跟同学组建一个学习小组就好啦。总体而言，教授们都很棒，不过要想从课上学到更多知识自己还是要主动。
 

 
The professors are easy-going and fun to talk to and always helpful. The curriculum is interactive and connects to your life in a deeper level. The workload is difficult but very manageable. The campus offers study options such as ACE and MSI for students who are struggling in their classes. The popular study areas around campus are the McHenry Library and the Science and Engineering Library
 
这里的教授都很随和，乐于助人。课程是充满互动性的，并能在更深层次上与生活中的事情互相联系。工作量有一点多，但还是可以应付来的。校园为在课上遇到困难的学生提供了ACE或MSI等服务。大家一般会在McHenry图书馆或科学工程图书馆学习。
 
 
Campus 校园
 
The forest is all around us no matter where you go, and the beach is downtown, a great blend of nature and modern society. It is a really chill place to live and to study.
校园周围森林环绕，市中心也有海滩，这里真的是大自然与现代社会的完美融合。 不过，也是一个挺冷的地方。
 
There are definitely lots of clubs available to students. However it is up to the students to take advantage of those opportunities and learn how to balance school life and social life. We have two libraries and they are both spatious and very quietl; which makes it perfect for studying.
这里有各种各样的学生社团俱乐部，不过，是否参与还在于学生，也能从中学到如何平衡学校生活和社交生活。这里有两个图书馆，地方都很宽敞，也很安静，都非常适合学习。
 

 
There are a lots of things people can do off campus. Santa Cruz is known for having beautiful scenic hiking trails. Everybody does mountain biking on the weekends as well. There are plenty of beaches that surround the campus and they all lie less than a 20 minute bus ride away. Downtown Santa Cruz is also right down the hill from the UCSC campus and it is beautiful. There are plenty of restaurants, creameries, coffee shops, clothing shops, beauty stores, and music shops that one could get lost in. There are also three movie theaters located in Downtown Santa Cruz if one just wanted to escape in the world of cinema. Santa Cruz is also known for their famous Boardwalk and Warf which is great! The Boardwalk contains an amusement park with tons of great rides and food. There is an enormous arcade located there too and across the street from the Boarddwalk there is a bowling alley. The fisherman’s Warf serves great seafood restaturants. Up the street from the Warf is the Santa Cruz aquarium that allows you the beautiful sea creatures which are local to Santa Cruz.
 
校园外有许多可以做的事情。圣克鲁斯以拥有美丽风景的远足小径而闻名。大家经常会在周末骑山地自行车游览。校园周围有许多海滩，坐bus只要不到20分钟。从校园下山就能到达美丽的圣克鲁斯市中心，有很多餐馆，甜品店，咖啡店，服装店，化妆品店和音乐商店。如果想看电影，这里还有三座电影院。圣克鲁斯也以着名的Boardwalk and Warf而闻名。那里有一个游乐园，有大量的游乐设施和美食，还有很多街机游戏厅，从Boarddwalk的街对面还有一个保龄球馆。那里还有很多不错的海鲜餐馆。从Warf的街道向上走是圣克鲁斯水族馆，有很多当地美丽的海洋生物。
