作为农学院出身的康大，在近来几年比较注重体育以及商学院的发展。其中的体育管理是闻名于美国各大高校的，女篮也曾蝉联NCAA冠军56届之久。本科的商学院排名也属于全美前五十的地位，并且也被很多中国学生家长熟知。其中房地产专业是在研究生排名第一得学校。图书管理这个冷门的专业也是在全美数一数二。文理学院中，精算专业近几年也是日常火爆，作为最早成立的一批有精算专业的大学之一，该专业的老师都在行业领域有一定值得认可信赖的资质，并且距离各大保险公司地理位置又处于相对的优势，很多保险公司都在学校精算专业校招的平台上尽可能多的发现可挖掘人才。
