Job Description

The Samuel Ginn College of Engineering is seeking candidates for theposition of postdoctoral fellow in engineering. Postdoctoral positions becomeavailable periodically under a variety of research grants and projects in thecollege. We are seeking applications from individuals with a PhD in any onearea of engineering such as: aerospace, chemical, civil, computer science andsoftware, electrical and computer, industrial and systems, and mechanicalengineering. Also of interest are related fields of microelectronics,automotive electronics, microfibers, highway research, materials, asphalttechnology, pulp and paper, chemistry, transportation, detection and foodsafety and information technology. The positions are available for a minimum ofone year as full-time 12-month appointments based on need, performance andfunding, with renewal possible for a maximum of four years. Salary will becommensurate with education and experience.

Qualifications

The selected candidates for these positions must be able to meeteligibility requirements for work in the United States at the time appointmentis scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the proposed term ofemployment, and be able to communicate effectively in English.

PhD in area of expertise is required.
