UTA的McCombs商学院的专业最受到学生亲来。作为德州历史最悠久的公立商学院。McCombs不仅在位于奥斯汀市中心区域的主校区开设课程，其还在达拉斯、休斯顿和墨西哥城分别增设相关课程。 商学院里最有名的应该就是会计专业了，常年排名全美第一，几乎全美所有学会计的学生都梦寐以求可以被奥斯汀分校录取。可以这样说，在德州大学奥斯汀分校学习会计专业并考取CPA是进四大的一块敲门砖。
工程学
UTA的工程学院——Cockrell 拥有9个国际认可的本科课程和13个备受赞誉的研究生学位课程。Cockrell由著名的的教育工作者，研究人员和思想领袖组成，致力于应对世界的巨大挑战，推动经济发展，提高生活质量。Cockrell工程学院在2011年被福布斯杂志评为推动Austin市创新发展的“秘密武器”，学院为IBM， Dell等诸多国际公司提供过科技支持。
传媒和新闻
UTA的传媒学院Moody College of Communication，名源于Moody Foundation of Galveston。 Moody Foundation 在2013年为UTA捐款5000万美元，旨在支持学院的传媒研究，打造全国领先的新媒体教学机构，这是目前为止对公立学校传媒学院最大的捐款，可见UTA的传媒项目实力和资金的雄厚。Moody学院所设的学科部门包括传理学研究、通讯技术、新闻、广告和公共关系、广播电视电影。
